Chapter 5 - Visually evoked responses in dorsal cortex
To determine whether a reduction in MeCP2 expression affects the perception of visual stimuli, chapter 5 uses mesoscale calcium imaging to compare visually evoked responses across the dorsal cortices of Wt and Mecp2+/- female mice. Supplementary material comprises of example videos of calcium responses to visual stimulation.
Supplementary Figure 5.1.: Average stimulus evoked activity across the dorsal cortex of Wt mice
Video version of what appears in the thesis. Visual stimulation in the form of moving gratings comes in at ~2 seconds. This is the average activity of 4 Wt mice (though they are expressing GCaMP6s under the Thy1 promoter) across 50 stimulation trials.
